Results - Philips LPC2106 (ARM7)
[LPC2106]

Time measurements were obtained using an oscilloscope attached to a digital output. See the "Tests Performed" section for more details.
Un-bracketed times are those obtained when executing from flash. Times in [brackets] are those obtained when executing from RAM.

Test

Result

16bit addition

9.2μs [7.4μs]

16bit multiplication

9.7μs [8.2μs]

16bit division

26.4μs [22μs]

32bit multiplication

10.4μs [8.76μs]

32bit subtraction

9.1μs [7.6μs]

Bubble sort

432μs [420μs] {570μs*}

Block memory move and compare

1.1ms [1.08ms]

Conditional branch to procedure

48μs, [46.8s]

PUSH’ing and POP’ing

43.8μs, [43.6μs]

*This result was taken running from flash, but with the PLL set for 44MHz and the MAM set for 2 cycle flash access.

The PUSH and POP test was performed by pushing and popping a single register at a time. The ARM7 is capable of pushing/poping more than one register in a single instruction.
