i have ARM processor with no OS, I have downloaded FreeRTOS. I have Few question regarding it. These are very basic.

If i want to compile RTOS with no application, Shall i get simple cross compiler for ARM?
So i can compile and flash it to processor with no application.

I have rearch for it. I am getting IDE for ARM processor. IDE need for build application.
wil make exe or some executalbe format and download it to CPU.

Can anybody explain on this by steps how to do it?

You don't need an IDE to compile and download code to an ARM, but with no application there is no point. It won't do anything and you won't know if it downloaded or not.
