Hi-Tech dsPICC Toolsuit

Posted by M Mohr on September 8, 2008
Hi,

I try to run free RTOS on a dsPIC33FJ256MC710 using MPLAB IDE v8.1 with the Hi-Tech dsPICC Toolsuit.
If I try to build, MPLAB is terminating. It sems to me that it is coused by portmacro.h.
Has anyone experience with freeRTOS and the Hi-Tech dsPICC Compiler?

MPLAB crashed while compiling or running? If it crashes when compiling then it can only be indirectly related to FreeRTOS as a compiler or IDE should only return an error not crash (making an obvious statement) if it does not like the code. Can you get support from Hi-Tech or the MPLAB people on this?

MPLAB crashed while compiling with the standard windows errormessage "MPLAB IDE has encountered a problem and needs to close."
I'm also asking for support at Hi-Tech and MPLAB.
